Top 10 Most Viewed YouTube Channels hit Over 1.2 trillion Video Views
Last year, Internet users spent over 23 hours per month watching YouTube, nearly as much as TikTok, the absolute winner in this category. A huge chunk of this time was spent watching some of the most popular YouTube channels, which count hundreds of millions of subscribers and hundreds of billions of views.
According to data presented by OnlyAccounts.io, the ten most-watched YouTube videos of all time together hit a whopping 1.2 trillion video views last week.
T-Series is the King of YouTube, with More Than 245 Billion Video Views and 258 Million Subscribers
As the world's second-largest social media platform and the second-most visited website behind Google, YouTube has impressive usage statistics. Last year, the video-sharing platform had roughly 113 billion monthly visits, and 52% of all internet users accessed it at least once a month. And there were billions of reasons for that. Thanks to 2.4 million videos uploaded to YouTube every day during 2023, the total number of videos on the platform hit more than 3.9 billion and continues to rise.
In this highly competitive market, some channels stand out. According to SocialBlade data, with more than 245 billion video views and 258 million subscribers, T-Series is the most viewed YouTube channel ever. Last year alone, the Indian music record label and film production company had an average of 2.5 billion monthly video views on YouTube, which jumped to over three billion in the past two months. T-Series also tops in the total number of subscribers. Last week, the channel had a whopping 258 million subscribers, or 22 million more than the world's richest YouTuber, MrBeast.
Although far below the leading T-Series, YouTube has only three more channels with over 100 billion views. Cocomelon-Nursery Rhimes stands in high second place with 175. 6 billion video views and 171 million subscribers. SET India and Sony SAB follow with 158 billion and 110 billion views, respectively.
Kids Diana Show and Like Nastya rank fifth and sixth on this list with 99.6 billion and 97.2 billion all-time views. Zee TV and Vlad and Niki channels hit close to 85 billion video views, and WWE 73 Colors TC follow with 81.3 billion and 67.7 billion views, respectively. Together, these ten YouTube channels hit more than 1.2 trillion video views last week.
Indian Film Production Companies and Kid`s Channels More Watched than Taylor Swift or Justin Bieber
The SocialBlade data also showed that the world's highest-paid YouTuber, MrBeast, is not even in the top 20 most-watched channels. The 26-year-old YouTube creator, famous for his crazy stunts and giving away millions of dollars to strangers, ranked 22 on the list of the most-watched YouTube channels of all time, with 42.7 billion video views, almost six times less than the number one channel in this category.
But MrBeast is still far ahead of some of the world's most popular singers. With 34.6 billion views, the South Korean K-pop group ranked 37 on this list. Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny is three places behind with 33.6 billion video views, three billion more than Taylor Swift, who ranked in 42nd place. Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran are five spots behind, with around 31,7 billion video views each.
