Farmacias Similares opens its SimiPet Care clinic
It will provide medical care for pets and sale of medicines at affordable prices.
Among the services that will be offered are vaccinations, deworming and healing.
Dr. Simi does it again and sets the standard: he opens his veterinary division, SimiPet Care, where, as always, he promotes quality care at the best possible price.
Present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the first SimiPet Care clinic were Víctor González, Dr. Simi, founding president, and Víctor González Herrera, executive president of Farmacias Similares, who emphasized that the project emerged by responding to social media messages urging pets to access low-cost veterinary services.
“We said, why not? Then we discovered that veterinary services are both scarce and rising in price in Mexico. In response, with SimiPet Care, Farmacias Similares is opening veterinary clinics focused on pet care and medical attention.”
In our country, an estimated 57 percent of the population (around 70 percent of households) has a pet, and data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography reveal that of these, 43.8 million are canines, 16.2 million are felines, and 20 million are other species. That's 80 million pets that require care, because it's a fact that when pets get sick or have accidents, the first thing people seek is specialist medical care.
The problem is that only 42% of people receive care from a specialist. Given this situation, Farmacias Similares opened its first veterinary clinic in Mexico City, offering primary medical consultations for general ailments.
This office is located at 63 Prosperidad Street, Escandón I Section, Miguel Hidalgo City Hall, and will be open Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sundays, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
On opening day, the consultation will be free, and a promotional price of 75 pesos will apply afterward.
Among the services offered are deworming, vaccinations for both dogs and cats, treatment, bandaging, glucose testing, and travel certification, a document certifying the pet's health so it can travel abroad.
In addition, affordable medications will be available. Among the products available for purchase are anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, pain management medications, and vaccines.
It's important to note that Dr. Lares is the face of this new division, which will begin with 20 offices. Thus, Dr. Simi reaffirms his commitment to caring for those who are loyal companions, sources of joy and love.
