The Peninsula New York Announces an Artful Van Gogh Floral Afternoon Tea & New Academy in Collaboration With the New York Botanical Garden

From May 6 through June 28, 2025, Gotham Lounge will present an ambiance befitting the vibrant spirit of Van Gogh's work. Drawing from his expressive brushstrokes and the natural beauty of his favorite blooms, the space will be beautifully adorned with floral arrangements while the culinary and pastry teams will present an elegant Afternoon Tea service of edible floral themed sweet and savory creations. Sweet confections will include scones served with a whimsical chocolate paintbrush, along with edible flower creations such as a chocolate and honey Sunflower, vanilla and custard Cherry Blossom, and a blueberry and almond sponge Lavender. Savory selections will feature “Potted Plants” with truffle dip, porcini soil, and lemon, along with a decadent Sunflower Seed Foie Gras on brioche and a Maine Lobster Roll. The menu is paired with a curated selection of fine floral teas and a glass of Peninsula Private Label Champagne.

Recently reopened for the season, Gotham Lounge invites both out-of-town guests and New York City residents to indulge in an immersive culinary affair. This special collaboration further emphasizes The Peninsula's commitment to art, culture, and thoughtful hospitality, and underscores its legacy of creating memorable moments through exceptional experiences. As part of this continued support for the arts, The Peninsula New York is also recognized as a Small Business Supporter for the NYBG's 50th Anniversary Conservatory Ball on May 29, 2025.
