Award-winning anesthesiologist, frontline worker, supermom to 6-year-old twins, and philanthropist, Dr. Tiffany Moon, is not only the newest housewife and fan-favorite of Bravo’s popular reality series “Real Housewives of Dallas” (Tuesday’s at 9:00pm ET/PT on Bravo), but the franchise’s first medical doctor and first generation Asian-American cast member.
Tiffany is releasing her own private wine collection THREE MOONS WINE, and we would love for you to consider her for an upcoming feature on behalf of this exciting launch, which includes a Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and an Estate Reserve Proprietary Red!
While in anesthesiology residency at UCSF, one of Tiffany and Daniel Moon’s favorite things would be to go to Napa for the weekend. They visited many wineries and met so many wonderful people. They developed a great appreciation of the complexity, sophistication, and different flavor profiles of wine. In 2009, they launched their own signature Napa Valley Estate Reserve Cabernet as a private passion project and called it Three Moons Wine.
Born in a small town outside of Beijing, Dr. Moon immigrated to the United States from China when she was 6 years old. She earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University at 19 years old and completed her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center at 23 years old, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors as well as a Distinction in Research. She completed her residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and her research interests include obesity, thoracic anesthesia, pain perception under general anesthesia, difficult airways, and neuromuscular blockade and reversal.
Dr. Moon is passionate about medical student and resident education, and in 2014 she won the Dennis F. Landers, M.D., Ph.D. Faculty of the Year Teaching Award. She serves on multiple committees for the American Society of Anesthesiologists and is an Oral Board Examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the International Society for the Perioperative Care of the Obese Patient (ISPCOP). In 2019, she was honored by D Magazine as one of Dallas' Best Doctors. She has also received the Distinguished Educator Award from the Society for Education in Anesthesia and American Society of Anesthesiologists and was inducted into the prestigious Association of University Anesthesiologists (AUA). Dr. Moon is the principal investigator on multiple clinical research grants and has received numerous research awards. She has published more than two dozen original manuscripts, reviews, and book chapters and speaks internationally on topics related to her research.
Dr. Moon resides in Dallas with her husband Daniel Moon, vice president and general counsel for jewelry and accessory brand Sam Moon. Together, they’re parents to 6-year-old twin girls, Chloe and Madison, and Tiffany is stepmom to 16-year-old twins Nathan and Nicole. When she’s not in front of the camera or saving lives, Dr. Moon also serves on the board of directors of The Family Place, an organization that empowers victims of family violence by providing safe housing, counseling and skills that create independence while building community engagement and advocating for social change to stop family violence.
