World-class Event Successfully Concluded: The Apurva Kempinski Hotel Bali impresses G20 statesmen from around the globe
Geneva,November, 2022 – The highest praise for the perfect execution and excellent quality of service came at the end of last week in an emotional speech by Indonesian President Joko Widodo (or “Jokowi”), who thanked all those involved in the G20 Summit, including the tireless team at The Apurva Kempinski Hotel Bali. The luxury hotel, which opened its doors for its first guests in 2019, was one of the main venues for the G20 Summit, and the hotel's Candi Ballroom hosted numerous meetings and gatherings of statesmen and delegates from global organisations.
Under the theme, “Recover Together, Recover Stronger”, the 17th meeting of the “Group of Twenty” focused on the global health architecture, digital transformation, and sustainable energy transition. President Jokowi welcomed 17 statesmen for a series of activities at The Apurva Kempinski, followed by a luncheon at the Bamboo Dome on the Ocean Front Lawn of the hotel. Under the guidance of the culinary maestro of Indonesia, Mr. William Wongso, the hotel's culinary team went above and beyond to impress the G20 statesmen with the Archipelago menu, which came in a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian version.
“We are honoured to have contributed to the success of such a high-profile gathering”, says Vincent Guironnet, General Manager The Apurva Kempinski Bali. “Celebrating this country remains at the forefront of our everyday activities, and we look forward to supporting Indonesia by participating and supporting such events in the future. Our employees are very proud of being part of the Kempinski family and deeply identify with our hotel. This, in turn, is reflected in the guest experience delivery, day by day.”
No wonder the luxury hotel atop the cliff of Nusa Dua, with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and a tropical garden, was chosen for the central events of the G20 Summit. From the carefully selected batik designs, to the carvings and the artwork, The Apurva Kempinski Bali has been carefully decorated to reflect Indonesia in all its cultural aspects and showcase the country’s cultural heritage. The five-star hotel presents itself as a majestic open-air theatre and offers a collection of 475 iconic rooms, suites and villas, starting from 65 sq m — more than half of them with their own private plunge pool — unique restaurants, huge outdoor pools, spacious meeting rooms, including a wedding chapel on the beach, as well as indigenous spa treatments.
